The Builders Association Corpus Christi Area (BACC) is a non-profit association of professionals, committed to the home building industry, affiliated with the Texas Association of Builders and the National Association of Home Builders. A chapter within the BACC, Coastal Bend Green Built (CBGB) is a voluntary partnership of local home builders, industry supporters, and sponsors committed to creating awareness and interest in the construction of higher-performance, lower-impact residential homes in the Coastal Bend. Dolphin Recycling Inc. collects and sorts recyclables by container type into individual piles of plastic, aluminum, and tin. Newspapers and paper items are sorted separately. After sorting the materials, dolphin compresses the piles into compact bales for shipping. Materials are then sold to mills and fabricators for re-use in their manufacturing processes. All recycled materials are used to make things such as filling for winter jackets, plastic lumber, new metal products, and rolls of clean newsprint.

Once a month, for the past 20 years, SHIP ONE Crews sweep and pick up with shovels, rakes, nets and by hand, trash on the T heads and in the marina.
